Stone Mountain Pet Lodge Classes
  Private Lessons
If you and your dog prefer individual attention to a class atmosphere, schedule a one-on-one lesson with a professional trainer! You can address specific behavior problems or if you're not sure which training path to pursue, a private lesson is the right place to start.
  Performance Privates
Performance Privates are for the dog and handler team that are looking to compete, or are currently competing in dog sport events such as agility and obedience. Sometimes there are training issues that are not covered in current group classes. This is your opportunity to have individual attention specific for you and your dog. Lesson can be shared with up to 3 people if training levels and topics are similar. 1/2 hour session for 1 person, can be available after the initial 1 hour lesson, depending on the training needed.
  Agility Practice
Open agility practice sessions!
Each participant will get 3 minutes of floor time per rotation. At least 3 rotations or more if not full. Instructor will be available for extra tips if desired.
Therapy Dogs
This class will introduce you to the world of Therapy Dogs.

In this class you will learn:
• If you and your dog could be a good fit for a visiting therapy dog team.
• What skills you need to develop to be a good visiting therapy dog team.
• Basic therapy dog skills: attention, leave it, introduction to new objects, positioning the dog, handling the dog, desensitizing to sounds and desensitizing to equipment.

Therapy dogs need to have excellent obedience skills. Prerequisites to participate include taking Level 2 obedience or a Canine Good Citizen certificate. If your dog has neither of these you can have him / her evaluated by the instructor before signing up for class.

Even if your dog does not work out as a Therapy Dog, both you and your dog will benefit from this class. Many of the exercises covered in Therapy Dog Class are not offered in any other classes at Stone Mountain Pet Lodge.

This class is 6 one-hour sessions. There is a possibility you may need to take the class more than once depending on how much training you have had previously.
