Canine Good Citizen (Course + Test) Turn your rowdy rover into a polite pooch! This manners-focused course is based on the AKC's (American Kennel Club) Canine Good Citizen Program. The instructor is an AKC Certified Evaluator and offers the Canine Good Citizen certification test at the conclusion of the class (optional). This course allows you to improve upon or show off your dog's good manners.
Basic obedience commands: Come, Sit, Down, Stay, Heel
Calm, polite greetings towards people and other dogs
Tolerance of grooming and veterinary handling procedures
Maintaining your dog's attention around everyday distractions
Calm reaction to separation from owner
Canine Good Citizen (Test Only)
The Canine Good Citizen certification test MAY be taken without completing the course. Registration includes the test fee, test workbook, registration materials, and Canine Good Citizen patch.
*Students who have already taken the course at Stone Mountain Pet Lodge and are testing again are eligible for a $10 discount off of the test fee.
